Bri-ezy Veterinary Relief and Mobile Services, LLC (Bri-ezy Vet) provides at-home veterinary services with a holistic approach to health; considering the whole patient and family/household unit, with the ultimate goal being to embody the idea of viriditas.
Please note that Dr. Harris does believe in, and utilizes primarily a science based western approach to medicine in terms of diagnosis and treatment of diseases. However, she also believes that there are many ways to do things, and feels strongly that a collaborative approach to medicine is in the best interest of the patient and the care takers of said patient
Bri-ezy Vet believes "vet med is a team sport,” working closely with pets, pet owners, and additional pet care team members and veterinary colleagues to provide the best possible care.
Services include, but are not limited to:
General wellness and sick patient check-ups
Vaccinations, heartworm testing, flea/tick preventative, etc
Minor urgent care conditions and when appropriate, referral for additional diagnostics and care
Behavior Assessment and Guidance
This is an initial assessment, if deemed beyond the scope of Bri-ezy Vet practice, you will be referred to the appropriate care
End-of-life consultation, palliative care, euthanasia, and body care

Bri-ezy Vet will not offer service to non-established patients for urgent or emergency care.
Same day appointment booking is rarely available and is not guaranteed.
Bri-ezy Vet does not have extensive diagnostic capabilities
It is HIGHLY recommended that your pet is also established with a regular brick and mortar clinic.
There may be a need for radiographs, blood work, surgery, abdominal ultrasound, or additional diagnostics or treatments that are outside the scope of Bri-ezy Vet house call services.
If your pet is not already established elsewhere, it can take much longer to get established and be able to make use of the necessary care and services available at a brick and mortar practice, which may result in the need of a visit to a local emergency hospital for more extensive diagnostic work up.
Bri-ezy Veterinary Services takes pride in providing collaborative care to patients. Working with other veterinary colleagues for the optimal health of the patient is of utmost importance.
Your records will be emailed to you after each appointment so that you have them on file, and if appropriate contact information is provided, your records will also be promptly forwarded to any other healthcare professionals.
Bri-ezy Vet is NOT an emergency or on-call veterinary service. House call service is a convenience care option. If your pet is in need of emergency care for prompt evaluation, there are many emergency care options within Bri-ezy Vet practice radius available to you, for example:
Longmont ER Vet www.longmontemergencyvet.com
Colorado Animal Emergency and Specialty (CASE) in Boulder www.coloradoanimalspecialty.com
Veterinary Emergency Group ER (VEG ER) in Boulder www.veterinaryemergencygroup.com
Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists in Loveland https://4seasonsvetspecialists.com
This is not an all inclusive list, any option that is available to discuss and/or see your pet in the event of an emergency, is a valid option and a valuable resource
Out of appointment contact and visits
Bri-ezy Vet places high value on work life balance and quality mental and physical health for their staff
Bri-ezy Vet and Dr. Harris absolutely loves animals and loves being a veterinarian. However, vets and vet staff are people too. We are humans with passions and interests outside of animals and veterinary medicine. For Dr. Harris to be able to provide the excellent and focused care she provides while in your home, when she is not working, she often recharges by focusing on other aspects of life outside of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Harris lives and breathes in your community. As a client, it is important to understand and respect that she may not engage in her veterinary role while she is not actively involved in vetting. You may see her running, grocery shopping, eating out, driving around town, etc. She may or may not recognise you and/or your pet outside of her practice setting. In addition, she may choose to not engage with you at the moment. Or if there is an interaction, it may be brief, and she may not ask you anything about your animal. This should not be taken as a personal affront, a rejection, or a dislike of your pet, but as a moment to let your vet be another human just living her life outside of work.
It is completely understandable if the conditions of service set forth by Bri-ezy Vet are not acceptable for you as a client. If that is the case, we wish you well on your journey to finding a veterinary group that better aligns with your needs.

Bri-ezy Vet primarily sees dogs and cats.
Minimum vaccination requirement to include Rabies vaccination: This is not negotiable.
Rabies is required by law for all cats and dogs in the state of Colorado
Rabies is a 99.9% fatal disease
It is transmitted through saliva and body fluids - mostly bites
Rabies risk of exposure is on the rise in Colorado.
Indoor and outdoor animals are both at risk. Why?
Rabies vectors (animals that are known to carry and transmit the disease) can get in your house. Think of bats and other small mammals.
There is increased contact between wildlife and humans/pets as we encroach further into their territory
Animals under 6 months of age may be temporarily excluded from this requirement at the discretion of Bri-ezy Vet
Proof of vaccination is in the form of a Rabies certificate or written documentation from a previous veterinary visit at another clinic or rescue/shelter. A rabies tag is not proof of vaccination.
If your pet is not vaccinated for rabies or if there is no proof of vaccination at the time of the visit, then a Rabies vaccination will be administered during the visit at the discretion of Bri-ezy Vet, in order for your pet to continue to receive care and in compliance with local and state law.
***There are very limited exceptions for Rabies vaccination
Documented true/not assumed vaccination reaction or an immune mediated disease that would outweigh the risk of Rabies exposure. This is at the discretion of Bri-ezy Vet and we reserve the right to refuse service for animals not vaccinated for Rabies.
Sick pets at the time of visit. These pets may still be required to update Rabies vaccination at future visits/after illness is resolved
Euthanasia appointments
Although proof of previous rabies vaccination is recommended and good to have on hand, especially for aggressive animals.
Bri-ezy Vet Relief and Mobile Services reserves the right to refuse service

Throughout Dr. Harris's career she has experienced multiple incidents of pets who were assumed to be safe from Rabies exposure by their pet parents, and that was unfortunately not the case for them.
Some of these animals were indoor only cats where the cat decided to go outside or a rabies vector/bat unexpectedly decided to come inside
Some of these animals were dogs or livestock, where the owners assumed that the wild life in the area would never pose a threat.
The only way to definitively diagnose Rabies in your animal is by euthanizing them and removing the head to send it to the lab for brain tissue analysis. We cannot do this on an alive patient.
This is not only traumatic for the pet and their family, but also for the doctor who knows and understands that this is entirely preventable.
Bites from bats are not always possible to identify, so if you wake up to a bat in your house, because Rabies is 99.9% deadly, we have to assume there was an exposure to you and/or your pets who were present at the time.
Your dog or cat ‘got into it with a racoon or skunk,’ we have to assume there is exposure, even if the offending wildlife did not ‘look’ rabid.
Rabies has various disease presentations that are not always obvious
Dr. Harris is vaccinated against rabies, so her risk of death from rabies exposure is less, however it is not 100%. If you and your loved ones, including other pets, are not vaccinated, your risk is much higher.
At the discretion of the doctor, we may also see backyard chickens, horses, goats, pond fish, and some exotics.
Examination of non-canine/feline species will often require further discussion about goals and expectations based on the experience of the veterinarian and the required care of the patient. Visit fees may vary from those listed above.

Why does a house call visit cost more than a brick and mortar/clinic visit?
A house call visit for veterinary care is quality veterinary care provided in the home, not ‘home made’ service.
This is purely a convenience service. For example the cost of ordering food or groceries has a surcharge to account for the convenience of delivery.
Travel between appointments decreases the capacity of the mobile vet to see appointments each day. There are only so many hours in the day. A brick and mortar clinic can see multiple pet families within the same hour.
Does Bri-ezy Vet offer a discount for multiple animals seen during an appointment?
The initial/established care visit is the same cost per animal, regardless of the number of animals seen in the home on that day. The value of the in-home exam visit and the time spent with each individual animal does not change based on the number of animals.
For established patients, there is a 10% discount for multi-pet visits.
Why is the initial visit so much more than the following visits for established patients?
The purpose of the initial visit is to establish care and get to know you and your pet.
This visit is an extensive meet and greet and to address any immediate/but non-urgent needs or concerns.
For staff and patient safety, and to deliver the best possible care, we do not offer urgent care visits to non-established patients.
For the initial visit, Bri-Ezy Vet will review all available records thoroughly prior to the housecall.
Note if prior records are not made available to Bri-Ezy Vet within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, the visit will need to be rescheduled or cancelled.
The first visit is scheduled for 1 hour, which allows ample time to get acquainted with each other, examine your pet, and perform any needed treatments or diagnostics.
Subsequent visits are typically a shorter appointment time of 30 minutes, unless previously discussed at the time of booking.
